Why this exists

Construction software has gotten complicated. There are over 200 tools competing for the wallets of trade businesses in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Ireland alone. Most reviews on the internet are written by affiliate marketers who have never been on a building site.

Buildery exists to fix that.

What we do, in plain English

How we make money

Three ways, all disclosed:

  1. Affiliate commissions — if you click a link to a tool and sign up, the vendor pays us a referral fee. Doesn't change your price. Marked with a small "Affiliate" tag.
  2. Featured listings — vendors can pay for a "Featured" placement in their category. It gets a clear "Sponsored" label. It does not change the editorial score or review content.
  3. Newsletter sponsorships — one sponsor slot per newsletter, top of the issue, clearly labelled "Today's issue sponsored by..."

That's it. We don't take payment for positive reviews. We don't bury negative ones. If a vendor pulls their affiliate program because we said something they didn't like, we link to their signup page anyway.

Who runs Buildery

Buildery is run by an independent editorial team operating from Australasia. We're not affiliated with any software vendor, integrator, or industry body. Editorial decisions are made by the editorial team — not by sponsors.

If you want to know who tested a given tool, every review has a contributor section at the bottom with names, roles, and what they were responsible for.
