Who is Buildery for?
Small-to-mid construction businesses (1-50 employees) in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Ireland that need to pick software and want a straight answer.
Do you review tools for enterprise / Tier 1 builders?
Sometimes, but it's not our focus. Procore, Aconex and similar are documented but the depth of review goes to tools that mid-size businesses can actually afford.
Are you affiliated with any software vendor?
No. Buildery is independently operated. We have affiliate relationships with many vendors (clearly labelled) but no equity, no contracts, no commercial arrangements beyond the affiliate programs and disclosed sponsorships.
Tools and reviews
How often is each review updated?
At least every 12 months, or sooner if a major release ships. The last-tested date is at the top of every review.
Can I request a tool be reviewed?
Yes. Email vendor@buildery.org or use the Submit a tool form. We prioritise tools with measurable user demand in our newsletter and search analytics.
Can vendors pay to be reviewed?
No. Vendors can pay for featured placement (clearly labelled "Sponsored"). They cannot pay for a review, pay to change a score, or pay to suppress a review.
My tool's score changed after a retest — why?
Either the product changed, or our weighting changed. Either way, the changelog at the bottom of the review explains exactly what moved.
Newsletter and content
How often does the newsletter ship?
Every Wednesday, 6am AEST. ~4 minute read.
Can I sponsor the newsletter?
Yes. One slot per issue, top of the email, clearly labelled. Email sponsor@buildery.org for current rates and availability.
Do you use AI to write content?
We use AI to assist with research, drafting, and image generation. Every published review and newsletter is edited by a human before publishing, and every editorial decision is human. We don't publish unedited AI text under our masthead.
Money
How does Buildery make money?
Affiliate commissions from vendor signups, featured-listing fees, and newsletter sponsorships. All disclosed. See About for the full breakdown.
Will it cost me anything to use Buildery?
No. The directory, reviews, comparisons and newsletter are free. The only paid product is the Buildery Templates store, which is opt-in.
Privacy
Do you sell my email?
No.
Do you share my email with vendors when I click an affiliate link?
No. We pass an anonymous referral code only. Vendors learn your email only when you sign up with them directly.
